Client & Requirements
The client is a well-known sports brand that was established several decades ago. In 2019, they decided to transition their current ERP system to odoo. They sought assistance from a local odoo partner, who collaborated with a software development company to manage the migration. However, the results of their joint efforts were unsatisfactory. Consequently, the client made several attempts to salvage the project. Eventually, Shinetech was entrusted with the project.
Free Trial
Shinetech and the customer’s trust and cooperation began with a one-week free trial, in the time the customer sent us a small task. We assessed it afterwards, developed, and submitted it, with a very smooth process. The customer was very satisfied, and we then expanded a long-term partnership with the customer as their odoo support team.
Cooperation
To date, we have been collaborating with the customer for over two years, mainly providing support in the following areas:
- Fixing and optimizing performance issues in the existing Odoo system, resolving feature code redundancy and slow response speed issues.
- Building a B2B website based on the Odoo e-commerce platform for the customer, implementing the functionality of order management.
- Starting from September, 2023, we began upgrading the customer’s Odoo system from Enterprise 13 to 16, as the official Odoo no longer provides support for 13. Estimated completion in 7 months.
The results
The system upgrade work is progressing smoothly, with 30% completed. The completed part is already put into use and support hundreds of users from client’s business team. We look forward to the customer being benefited from the new system soon.
